After four weeks of hard labor, here's what my twisted imagination gave birth to. I call it
"Un-Grind." It features antique pieces from a push mower, a meat grinder, a sewing machine base, a wood stove,
an oar lock, coat hooks, some old farm wrenches, and a set of fender ornaments from an old car.
It has an
oak-burl "bowl" for your assorted snacks (nuts, bolts, whatever!) and a "mini bar" to hold your
beverage of choice.
With the help of a local blacksmith, the chair also includes a custom
bottle opener and an attached match holder made from an old glass insulator.
The seat
was hand-carved from a piece of 3" thick Douglas Fir and the back splat is a unique piece of Black Cherry that
features both the heart and sap wood.
